Application

This unit of competency specifies the skills and knowledge required to slump-test concrete to ensure that the mix is workable and complies with the delivery docket and specified order.

It includes sampling and slump-testing concrete supplied for use on residential, commercial and civil construction sites.

It applies to concreters working as members of a team with at least a moderate degree of autonomy. They would be expected to complete routine activities without close supervision.

Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit of competency in all states and territories except Tasmania. Relevant state and territory regulatory authorities should be consulted to confirm these requirements.
